MEET OUR TRAINERS
In addition to instructing for the Rise, Kristen is an elementary school Dance and Physical Education teacher. Kristen is the founder of two organizations aimed at spreading joy and nurturing a love of fitness. Shake, Shimmy, Shine offers a variety of fitness and arts classes/personal training for children and Sweat, Slay, Play brings programming and positivity to adults. Kristen enjoys travel, hiking, sunshine and rainbows in her spare time and is currently writing a children's literature series.
While working for the Chicago Park District, Jeff studied at Robert Morris University earning a degree in the Applied Science of Health & Fitness. Later while interning at the CPD Jeff designed an intensive 10 week program for weight-loss, muscle building & cardio endurance which was completed by CPD staff members and patrons alike. With a terrific response, it was refined by fellow RMU athletes and fitness majors and became the blueprint for The Rise Fitness Boot Camp protocol. Since training Jeff has lost 20lbs. Jeff is an American Council on Exercise Certified Trainer.
A 7 year veteran of The Rise Fitness Boot Camp, Katie hails from Eastern University. She specializes in exercise program design and nutrition at the rise. Katie is a certified trainer, an avid lifter and cardio master. As head program specialist she personally tests and approves all new additions to the rise's 100+ workout catalog. Her motto is "Fitness is a journey, not a destination... The key is to love your journey and love yourself."
